Toyota's new hybrid offers outstanding value for money
The Toyota Auris Hybrid is the first full hybrid in its class and offers low emissions and outstanding fuel economy at an exceptionally competitive price.
Toyota scores a first with the Auris Hybrid as it introduces a full hybrid in the compact family car class.
With the Auris Hybrid launch on 1st July 2010, Toyota introduces the first full hybrid car in the compact family car class.
Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive technology provides exceptionally low emissions on the lead-in model of 89 g/km and fuel economy figures of 74.3 mpg. It means you can expect over 700 miles on one tank of fuel (according to Toyota), pay no road tax, no London Congestion Charge and you’ll benefit from a five –year warranty. Toyota also claims that the car has high resale values.
The Auris Hybrid is built in Britain, the first Toyota Hybrid, in fact, to be built in Europe.
The new Auris Hybrid will face competition from key players Vauxhall Astra, VW Golf and Ford Focus. In terms of value for money it stacks up very well indeed. Priced at £18,950 the Auris Hybrid is £1500 less than the Focus 1.6 TDCi diesel ECOnetic Start-Stop and not significantly more than the New Astra ES ecoFLEX 1.7 CDTi diesel and the Golf 1.6 TDI diesel Blue Motion.
