Toyota to trial all-electric version of its iQ city car
Toyota is to undertake road trials of an electric-powered version of its iQ city car in Europe starting in 2011.
The electric iQ EV will play a pivotal role in Toyota’s fast-expanding pure electric and plug-in hybrid programme announced at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The iQ EV is scheduled to go on sale in the USA in 2012 and is likely to launch in Japan and Europe at around the same time.
